PRINCIPAL’S REPORT
Welcome back to Term 1 2023. I am so appreciative of how everyone has contributed to us having such a calm and focussed start to the learning year. Our administration and cleaning staff have been amazing in preparing the school for the return of students and ensured we were all set to go on day one. Our teachers spent the first two days ensuring lessons were ready to engage our students and, from my visits to classrooms across the first two weeks, students are definitely back here prepared for learning. I’m also so grateful for the amazing support we have received from parents over the past week.
Students look great in their Exeter High uniforms. As always, we understand that returning to the school year can be a financially stressful time for families and we are here to offer support in ensuring all students have access to school uniforms. Please contact the school should you require such assistance. We are more than willing to help. We are also fortunate this year to be able to provide basic food staples for families, including sauces, canned food and other non-perishable items. These items are located in the administration foyer and are there for families to access.
Our Year 11 cohort has grown to six students this year and I look forward to following their journeys over the next two years as they take advantage of out contemporary 21st Century Learning space on the school farm. I will also be able to provide further updates during the course of the year on the progress of our main campus major redevelopment. At the moment, we are waiting for the proposed redevelopment plans to go to a parliamentary steering committee, where I will address parliament around the build. It will then go to tender.
If you have any questions about grade issues, please make contact with grade leaders to discuss these. These leaders will get back to you at their earliest opportunity.
